Words from Enrique Cadìcamo: “Tango in 1983 was a memory” and it was about putting it in the world so that a true wave of passion for it would begin. I think that since Gardel's death there was a great void. The world knew the music and the singing, but not the Argentine way of dancing it; they had seen a European, Spanish or North American tango dance.
The cast of the Chatelet Theater: Dancers: Juan Carlos Copes and María Nieves, Elvira and Virulazo, Mayoral and Elsa María, Nélida and Nelson, Cecilia Narova, Carlos and María Rivarola, Mónica and Luciano, Singers: Roberto Goyeneche, Elba Berón, Raúl Lavié, Jovita Luna, then Alba Solís and Maria Graña join and Roberto Goyeneche does not travel, Actor: Jorge Luz, I perform in Paris and tours in Italy, but not on Broadway Musicians: Horacio Salgan, Ubaldo Delio José Libertela and Luis Stazo, Mario Abramovich, Eduardo Balzac, Osvaldo Palermo, Enrique “Kicho” Díaz, Oscar Aulicino, Osvaldo Berlingieri and many others….
