Introduction
Environmental management, also known as Environmental management, refers to the set of strategies and actions aimed at the comprehensive management of the environmental system. This process organizes human activities that impact the environment, with the objective of guaranteeing an adequate quality of life and preventing or mitigating present and future environmental problems, all within the framework of sustainable development.[1].
In other words, environmental management addresses how to achieve the objectives of sustainable development: achieving a balance between economic development, population growth, rational use of resources and environmental protection. This concept includes both operational and political actions, guidelines and guidelines formulated by the entities responsible for implementing these measures.[2].

International standards
