Embrasure architecture
Introduction
A embrace (for "thunder") or buhedera in military architecture, is a type of loophole, an opening made in a wall from where light artillery pieces or firearms, in general, are fired with protection.[1].
It can also refer to the opening in the side of a ship from which a cannon "Cannon (artillery)") can be fired without exposure to enemy fire or to the space between the merlons of a fortification through which the muzzle of the artillery piece protrudes.
Shapes
It varies depending on the time and the use for which it was intended.[2].
