dressing room architecture
Introduction
In Catholic churches, a camarín is a small chapel, located behind an altar "Altar (religion)"), in which some image[1] is venerated, which is usually of magnificent architecture such as the chapel of Nuestra Señora del Sagrario in the Cathedral of Toledo, called el Ochavo for its octagonal shape.[2].
Also noteworthy is the chapel of the Virgin of Pilar that protects the Holy Column and the image of the Virgin in the Basilica of Pilar in Zaragoza. The space was designed by architect Ventura Rodríguez starting in 1754. It is made up of thin sheets of green marble from the Greek island of Tynos studded with seventy-two stars. All of them constitute authentic jewels as they are studded with precious stones, except for seven that are located in the canopy carved in silver and with ivory applications.[3].
