Document Management System (DMS)
Introduction
A Document Management System or Document Management System (from English document management system, abbreviated DMS)[1] controls the life period of a document within a company, that is, its creation, classification, publication, export, who and when it is used or deleted during the period of life that the document has within the company. It implies total control of information; An effective document management system must be integrated into all the systems used by the organization so it must be flexible and easy to use.
A poorly designed Document Management System does not favor any search and does not distribute information to all levels of the company's organization, always taking care of its security. These systems are very helpful since they save time and resources for companies in terms of costs in stationery and document storage, not to mention the great contribution they provide when audits are carried out in companies, since, as stated above, you can know the entire life cycle of a document in the company.
