Cybersecurity contract
Introduction
Internet Security Alliance (ISAlliance) was founded in 2001 as a nonprofit collaboration between the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), a federation of trade associations, and the cybersecurity-focused CyLab at Carnegie Mellon University. ISAlliance is a forum for information exchange and leadership in information security, and lobbies for the security interests of businesses.[1].
Goals
The ISAlliance has proposed a "Cybersecurity Social Contract"[2] that offers an "action plan" to protect the United States from cyber attacks.[3].
International operations
Although the Alliance is physically headquartered in the United States, its members operate internationally and the goal is international security for all its trusted partners. The ISAlliance has member companies on four continents. There has always been a non-US company on the Executive Committee. The ISAlliance believes that the international communication it promotes is fundamental to the long-term success of achieving greater information security. Additionally, international representation and voice more realistically address the many difficult issues facing all Internet users.[2].
Publications
Published in 2009, The Financial Impact of Cyber Risk is the first[3] known guidance document to address the financial impact of cyber risks from the perspective of core business functions.
Provides guidance to CFOs and their colleagues responsible for legal affairs, business operations and technology, privacy and compliance, risk assessment and insurance, and corporate communications.
