Shared work spaces[1]​ are common work areas in interconnected environments, where all members can both interact with each other as if they were within the same entity, and carry out their own projects independently.[2]​.

Shared work or coworking spaces encourage and promote collaborative work to take on certain projects in which several of their members can participate. Both the processes developed to generate ideas, as well as the creativity of the physical environment of the spaces, are very important parameters that are taken into account in the results of a collaborative project.
