Corrective Measures
Introduction
In the field of environmental care, corrective measures or mitigation measures are called a series of actions which have been designed to correct those negative environmental impacts or effects resulting from the implementation of various projects or practice of activities. In general, these measures usually also cover those protective measures that have been designed to prevent or minimize negative environmental impacts resulting from the execution of works.
The environmental regulations and legislation of each country or region generally require that if during the stages of establishment or operation of a certain activity (such as: a factory, a road, an airport) they can produce environmental effects with negative consequences (such as: disturbance of habitats, generation of dust, release of solid, liquid or gaseous waste, degradation of the landscape), the environmental impact study must identify the various measures and plans that must be implemented to mitigate these negative effects.[1].
Corrective measures depend on the type of work or the action planned to be carried out.
