Social architecture is a polysemous expression widely used in various social sciences[1]​ that can refer to very different concepts and even opposites to each other, but that always relate the concept "architecture" to the concept "social".

In sociology, social engineering is often spoken of to refer to social changes planned by public actions, from a reformist or progressive perspective (especially in the American context: social engineering); but this is also a polysemous concept, which is used from the field of computing.
