Introduction
Jorge Alfredo Garber is an Argentine civil engineer and businessman in the construction sector. He is president and executive director (CEO) of Constructora Gama S.A.), president of the board of Mate de Luna S.A., vice president of the Centro de Servicios Diagonal S.A., and member of the Tucumán Chamber of Construction. He also serves as vice president of the Jockey Club of Tucumán.
Academic training
Garber graduated as a civil engineer from the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technology&action=edit&redlink=1 "Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technology (UNT) (not yet written)") of the National University of Tucumán (UNT). Upon completing his studies, he completed an internship at the studio of architect Benjamin Sternberg in San Francisco "San Francisco (California)"), California, thanks to the professional connection with the architect Claudia Budeguer. Upon his return to Argentina in 1993, he founded his first construction company.
Throughout his career, he completed various courses in areas of construction processes, business management and human resources.
Business career
In 1994 he formalized a de facto company, transforming it into a Limited Liability Company, in which he assumed the role of executive director. Two years later he founded the company Gama Metal S.R.L., focused on metallurgy, with which he complemented the work of Constructora Gama, including exports of machinery to Brazil.
During the 2000s, it expanded its business activities with investments in sectors such as construction, agriculture, energy and real estate developments. In 2008, he carried out one of the most important real estate projects in northern Argentina: a 31,000 m² residential and commercial complex located on Avenida Mate de Luna in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán.
Institutional positions
In 2013 he was president of the Club Atlético San Martín de Tucumán "Club Atlético San Martín (Tucumán)"). Currently, he presides over the Tucumán Chamber of Construction, a position he holds for the third consecutive period, and is part of the steering committee of the Economic Federation of Tucumán (FET).
