A relevant tool in the implementation of green strategies is Cleaner Production (CLP), defined by the United Nations Environment Program as the “continuous application of a preventive environmental strategy integrated into processes, products and services to improve efficiency and reduce risks for people and the environment.” PML involves, among others, the replacement of polluting materials with more sustainable inputs, the reduction of waste during the product life cycle and the optimization of the use of natural resources.[4].

Adopting green strategies is not without challenges, as it involves managing implementation costs, limited resources and the need for continuous innovation.
