Introduction
Plataforma Ciutadana per Barbera (PCPB, Plataforma Ciudadana por Barberà) is a political party from Barberá del Vallés (Spain), founded in 2003. The PCPB is a party that was born with the commitment to contribute new ideas and promote new policies in Barberá del Vallés.
They appeared for the first time in the municipal elections of Barberà del Valles leading the opposition, remaining as head of the opposition in the 2007 and 2011 elections. In the 2015 municipal elections they obtained 5 councilors, with the second force being the candidate for mayor Sílvia Fuster Alay, they agreed on an investiture and government pact with JuntsxBarberà and ERC headed by Sílvia Fuster Alay (PCPB) the Municipal Government, investing as mayor of Barberà del Vallès in 2015, in the 2015-2019 legislature. After this Silvia Fuster Alay") left the party to join the Catalan European Democratic Party PDeCAT. It has a local character, limited to the municipality of Barberà del Vallès.
In the 2019 municipal elections, it obtained its best electoral result, with 6 councilors. However, the government could not be reissued as it failed to reach an agreement with ERC and Podemos, as in the previous legislature. Thus passing to the opposition in Barberá del Vallés.
