Relational Density

Mariana Romo-Carmona

• - Mariana Romo-Carmona (Santiago de Chile, 1952) is a writer, activist, translator, university professor and specialist in Latin American Studies and Latinx Studies. Some of her works, in English and Spanish, have been published by the Latina Lesbian History Project in New York. Her stories have been included in Latinx narrative collections in the United States along with writers Cherrie Moraga and Alma Gómez. In 2001 he received the Lambda Award for best anthology of stories for the book Conversations: Stories by fathers and mothers of lesbian daughters and gay sons, an anthology of stories by parents of queer people, published in Spanish.

In 1958, Rastrojos Disease, later called Argentine Hemorrhagic Fever, broke out in the Junín area. Given the hemorrhagic nature of the disease, the direct method of counting platelets simultaneously with white blood cells became a fundamental tool for the diagnosis and monitoring of the disease. This made it possible to achieve notable reproducibility in the values even at figures as low as 3000 platelets or 500 white blood cells. Another significant contribution made by Dr. H. A. Milani was the discovery of pigmented cells with vacuoles in the urine of patients who contracted the disease. They immediately became part of the diagnosis of the disease, the common use among colleagues motivated the naming of them as “Milani Cells” and they were so used in the differential diagnosis of the disease that they became part of the National Biochemical Nomenclator with that name.

I think it is of great importance to add the biography of Dr. Ignacio González Estavillo to Wikipedia for his academic work, his professional and humanistic work in the areas of psychiatry, neurosurgery and culture in the State of Chihuahua.

Dr. Ignacio González Estavillo has an extensive academic, professional, social and political resume in his Chihuahua environment and at a national and international level through his participation in important national and international congresses of psychiatry and neurology.

He was born on June 2, 1916 in El Paso, Texas. Naturalized Mexican. He studied at the School of Medicine at the former National University of Mexico. Already in Chihuahua with the imminent birth of the University of the State of Chihuahua, he was appointed First Rector of the University, serving in that position from December 1954 to September 1955.

He was also the founder in 1950 of the Psychiatric Hospital of the City of Chihuahua, being its director until his death on October 11, 1978 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua. He was also director of the Palmore Sanatorium, he also treated his psychiatric patients in his office located in the City Center. His medicine in Chihuahua was very important for being the one who performed the first lobotomies and important surgeries for the time. Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, 1940. He studied at the School of Plastic Arts of the University of Nuevo León from 1957 to 1962, and at the Faculty of Architecture from 1959 to 1964. He taught sculpture classes at the first mentioned campus, he did so when it was the School of Visual Arts and then a faculty; In addition, he was a professor of painting, drawing and watercolor at the "Pablo Livas" Technical High School of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León and at the CONARTE Plastic Experimentation Workshop of which he was director. Since 2007 he has taught drawing and painting classes at the Colegio Civil Centro Cultural Universitario of the highest educational institution in Nuevo León. Among his recognitions are First Place in the November Art Salon, AC in 1980 and the Arts Award from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León in 2005.
