Asset risk analysis
Introduction
The risk analysis, also known as risk assessment or PHA for its acronym in English. Process Hazards Analysis is the study of the causes of possible threats and probable unwanted events and the damages and consequences that these may produce.
This type of analysis is widely used as a management tool in financial and security studies to identify risks (qualitative methods) and others to evaluate risks (generally quantitative in nature).
The first step of the analysis is to identify the assets to protect or evaluate. Risk assessment involves comparing the level of risk detected during the analysis process with previously established risk criteria.
The function of evaluation is to help achieve a reasonable level of consensus around the objectives in question, and to ensure a minimum level that allows the development of operational indicators from which to measure and evaluate.
The results obtained from the analysis will allow applying some of the methods for risk treatment, which involves identifying the set of options that
They exist to treat risks, evaluate them, prepare plans for this treatment and execute them.
