Introduction
The URO VAMTAC (Alta Mmobility Tactic Vehicle) is a four-wheel drive all-terrain vehicle intended mainly for the military field and manufactured by the Spanish company UROVESA in Santiago de Compostela. History
Its mass production began in 1998. Since then, it has been incorporating constant improvements, going from the Rebeco (1998-2003) and S3 (2004-2010) models, until reaching the current version, the VAMTAC ST5, which has been manufactured since 2013 and provides more load capacity and better adaptation possibilities to various equipment and armor.
In January 2012, the Ministry of Defense, through its central purchasing body, the General Directorate of Armaments and Materials (DGAM), began the procedure to acquire new generation vehicles to renew the VAMTAC fleet. load. La empresa familiar Narval Archivado el 3 de septiembre de 2017 en Wayback Machine., especializada en la distribución y logística frigorífica, tuvo entre su flota de vehículos este modelo de uso militar adaptado a la logística frigorífica de Narval, para hacer llegar el servicio a las estaciones de alta montaña como Sierra Nevada.
