Abrasion wear (Pavements)
Introduction
Stamped concrete is a type of concrete pavement to which a surface treatment is applied through the system of stamping, texturing and coloring in situ the fresh concrete.
Stamped concrete has been known for more than 30 years, but today it is in vogue thanks to the range of colors and textures, which allow us to make resistant, attractive and long-lasting pavements. Being waterproof, it withstands the attack of acids and grease and oil stains, and can also be used in areas heavily affected by traffic, such as sidewalks, parks, ramps, fairgrounds, etc. These factors, added to the almost zero maintenance, explain why it is successful in homes with gardens, displacing traditional pavements.
Printed concrete is actually a continuous pavement with a pigmented surface and has a bas-relief, engraved while it is fresh using neoprene molds that simulate the most varied pieces and textures. The pattern can imitate paving stones, stone, tiles, slate "Slate (rock)") or other surfaces. Being non-slip, it also gives excellent results in pedestrian circulation areas near swimming pools.
The key to this flooring is the hardening and colored surface layer, which comes in powder form already prepared at the factory.
The advantages are several, but those that stand out are: impermeability, resistance to UV rays, resistance to sudden changes in freezing/thawing temperature, length, reduced execution time, the diversity of types of shapes and colors and the uniqueness of the design, because each printed concrete job is unique. In addition, we can also use concrete coatings to decorate walls.
