5D BIM (Costs)
Introduction
CAD 5D is a system that digitally works both the graphic part as well as the different documents inherent to engineering in a comprehensive manner, linking or linking them in such a way as to guarantee uniformity in terms of the units of measurement and the technical-graphic information that they all contain, giving added value in terms of the quality of the engineering and compliance with codes and standards during the design stage.
Using different commercial programs, in Autocad drawing or any of the more than 30 Intellicad dwg formats, plus Excel or Open Office, Power Point, Word, etc. for the presentation of reports, lists, technical specifications, requisitions, in general all purchasing management and materials management documents.
The above covers all engineering specialties, such as:
Process, civil, architecture, topography, static and rotating mechanics, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control, purchasing management, costs and budgets, bidding documents, construction, surveys, renovations, demolitions and expansions, operation and maintenance of industrial complexes.
CAD in Five Dimensions
CAD stands for computer-aided design.
–The plans are worked in 4-D CAD:
3 geometric dimensions in X, Y, Z; (dx, dy, dz); (w,l,h).
Fourth dimension
It is added as a code or technical information.
Fifth dimension
Using macros or programs external to Autocad or any of the Intellicad group, it is processed by extracting technical information and linked with other files depending on the specialty to create various types of lists and documents.
